Yorgos while visiting the ECONYL® facilities in Ljubljana
The Healthy Seas Fashion Project gave us an opportunity to see some fresh fashion ideas made with ECONYL® regenerated yarn. It’s great to see how the ECONYL® story of discarded nylon in the form of abandoned fishing nets, discarded carpets and other waste sources that is regenerated into a new nylon in a never-ending cycle inspires a new generation of fashion designers. When the competition’s 2nd place winner, Yorgos Voulgaris, travelled to Ljubljana to visit the ECONYL® facilities, the ECONYL® team met with him and tried to find out how important sustainability is for his work.
